Partner brief · October 2026
Know if you should meet, before you meet.
The voice-first dating app where chemistry is heard, measured and earned, never guessed. Built for people tired of swiping on strangers.

01 · Why WhatsLove
Dating apps optimise for matches. We optimise for the right first date.
A photo and a two-line bio can't tell you how someone talks, listens or laughs. So people swipe endlessly, chats die after “hey”, and first dates are spent finding out what a two-minute conversation would have shown. WhatsLove puts the voice first and lets a connection reveal itself in stages.
1 · Authenticity
Hear the real person first. Voice-first profiles and SuperVoice openers make it much harder to fake who you are.
2 · Chemistry
Talk in voice notes. The Spark Meter shows how the conversation is really going, measured from what both of you do.
3 · Trust
Meet when you're ready, with SOS one tap away. Each person privately answers “Would you like to meet?”
What we believe
- Chemistry is felt in conversation, not predicted from a profile.
- No one is reduced to a rating. Scores describe a conversation, never a person.
- Paying unlocks features, never a better score.
- Safety is part of the core product, not an add-on.
What we will not do
- Fake compatibility percentages or “guaranteed matches”.
- Claim to read your emotions or personality from your voice.
- Identify people by their voiceprint.
- Turn dating into an endless swipe game.
02 · Signature feature
The Spark Meter
A shared chemistry meter that fills as two people talk. It is calculated from what actually happens in their voice conversation, identical for both people, and impossible to buy. Every point can be explained.

Earned, not bought
Plan and gender never change the score. Paid plans unlock a detailed breakdown and conversation tips.
“Still listening...”
The meter appears only after a few voice notes each, so it reflects a real exchange.
A data moat
Private “Would you like to meet?” answers link conversation signals to real outcomes.
03 · The voice layer
Voice is the profile. Voice is the conversation.
Everything in WhatsLove starts with hearing someone. Three building blocks turn voice from a gimmick into the core of how people meet.
Voice intros
Every profile is built around a short recorded voice intro. You hear the person before you judge the photo.
SuperVoice · Patent pending
A voice message sent before matching, to open with personality instead of “hey”.
Tier-Conditional Voice Ranking · Patent pending
Suggestions that unlock in stages as people engage, rather than an endless deck.
Voice Style: how you speak, measured, not guessed.
From the voice intro people already record, WhatsLove measures four style features and describes them in plain words. Matching can then suggest people with a similar way of talking, and say why.
Pace
Words per minute
Pauses
Thoughtful pauses vs quick replies
Expressiveness
How much the pitch moves (never absolute pitch)
Energy
How lively the volume is
No voiceprint, no speaker identification, no emotion or personality detection. Consent-based and removable at any time.
04 · The Spark hub
A reason to talk, every single day.
Spark is the home of every conversation. It doesn't wait for people to engage: it creates the next conversation, using only real activity, real people and real progress.
Your move
The single most useful next action: a match who replied and is waiting, a Spark one voice note from unlocking, or new voices nearby.
Today's voice prompt
One light question a day, answered in under 30 seconds. Answers appear on profiles for 24 hours, and matches are nudged to listen.
Streaks
Consecutive days with a voice note sent. Encouraging, never shaming, with a reminder people can switch off.
Milestones
Real achievements only: first voice note, first Spark, Spark 60+, Great listener, 7-day streak.
Conversation starters
One AI-written idea per match per day, based on both real profiles, clearly labelled as an idea.
Your conversation style
Personal stats against your own last week: voice notes, reply speed, questions asked, days active.
Free core. Voice intros, voice messages in chat, listening, the Spark Meter and the daily prompt are free for everyone, because the meter needs real conversations to work. Credits and plans unlock extras like SuperVoice, Bond Previews and full Spark breakdowns.
05 · Crush Board
Missed connections, finally reconnected.
Saw someone on the train, in a café, at a gig, and never said a word? Post it on your city's Crush Board. If they see it and it was them, they tap “That was me” and the two of you can talk.

City by city
Follow your city's board and see what's posted nearby.
Text or voice
Describe the moment in words or a short voice note.
Secret question
The poster sets a question only the real person could answer; answers are checked before a match opens.
Built-in limits
Posts expire after 7 days and posting is capped, keeping boards fresh and spam-free.
Shareable moments
Crush posts are natural social content, which makes them a growth channel in every city.
06 · Safety & trust
One tap. Three people who care.
Women's safety shaped WhatsLove from day one. The SOS flow is built into the main screen, needs no PIN or menus, and works even when our own servers don't.

07 · How we evolved
From predicted to measured.
Like every dating app, we started by showing compatibility percentages. We replaced them with features that measure what really happens. It's a harder path, and the one partners, regulators and users can trust.
